Pickstone Prize Shortlist 2026
Linda Andersson Burnett and Bruce Buchan, have been nominated for The Pickstone Prize for the book Race and the Scottish Enlightenment: A Colonial History 1750–1820 (Yale University Press, 2025). Their volume is one of six books shortlisted for the prize. The Pickstone Prize (established by the British Society for the History of Science) is awarded biennially and recognizes the best book published in English within the field of the history of science. The prize highlights innovative and ambitious research that advances our knowledge of the sciences’ past. The winner will be announced in June.
